Miley’s country music star dad considers his daughter recent provocative dance moves as something normal for teenagers these days. “It’s what all people her age do” is the statement Billy Ray gave to the TMZ reporter on Thursday.

In a TMZ poll, “an overwhelming number of the responders said that the dance moves Miley did on the video was inappropriate. 40 percent of the responders felt her parents were to blame, even though they were not there at the time.

Miley Cyrus, who is now 17, does not live as a normal 17 year old would live in your neighborhood. For all intensive purposes, she is an adult. The young Cyrus lives alone in her house and has her boyfriend staying with her often, reports Fox News Live. She is living as an adult and does not answer to her parents as a normal 17 year old is expected to do.

The radio geek in me says Grand Ole Opry is this long-running radio show from Nashville, going back many decades, and has since taken an important place in modern country music. Maybe that’s an excuse for American Idol to bring in the show’s performers and have the Top 11 sing country songs, but the genre has always shaken up the show. Some performers are more comfortable with it, while some struggle with adapting to the different style. Of course, genre diversity is a good thing for a singer, so this is an early test – and I should stop with the rambling, and begin with the backtracking.
