After a long and hard day at work, nothing refreshes you as much as taking a hot bath in your Jacuzzi tub. In fact, you can be sure that after you get out of the tub, you will be feeling totally relaxed, with your spirits at much higher levels that before. There is one, and only one, precondition to this experience i.e. your Jacuzzi tub should be clean. If it is not, you can forget all about the leisure and unwinding. By now, you must have learnt how necessary it is to clean your Jacuzzi tub. In order to help you do the same, we have provided a number of tips below.

    Cleaning a Jacuzzi Tub

    Items Needed
    Powder Cleaner
    600-grit Sandpaper
    Automotive Paste Wax
    Liquid Soap
    Soft Cloth
    Instructions
First of all, you need to purge the jetted system, in order to get rid of the accumulated bath residue. For the best results, it is advisable to purge the jetted bath after each use.
After you have had a bath and left the jetted bath, do not remove water from the tub. Rather, add some more hot water to bring its level at least 2 inches above the highest jet.
Turn on your Jacuzzi unit, without switching on the aerator. The powder cleaner should be poured near the intake for the circulation pump.
Now, run the bath for 5 to 10 minutes. Thereafter, drain it completely and rinse out any residue.
When the actual tub gets empty, clean it with the help of liquid soap and a soft cloth. Always use a cleaner that is safe for acrylic surfaces.
You can remove minor scratches from the tub by wet sanding the area with 600 grit sand paper.
Finally, use the automotive paste wax to restore glossy finish to the Jacuzzi tub. Your bath is as clean as ever.

Making a floor plan is the most important step in home decoration. It is very important to decide how you will arrange your furniture in the room, what are the limitations and other space constraints that you might face before placing out things and have an idea of how they would look beforehand. Since, moving furniture and rebuilding closets and making new windows cost a lot and is quite tiresome to accomplish, your pocket and other people involved with you in the home decoration project will appreciate minimizing any unnecessary efforts and a clear plan to look forward to. Here are some tips to make a floor plan of your home:

    Things You Will Need:
Architects’ ruler with 6 sides giving different scale measurements,
    Paper,
    Triangle, and
    T-square.

    Tips:
A hand-sketched draft drawn with a pencil helps you to have the view of the whole home at once using a scale of 1/4″ = 1′.
For furniture, scaled cutout silhouette pieces with most common dimensions are best, for you can easily rearrange them, as you like, without much ado.
Have accurate dimensions of each of your rooms, your total living space, your furniture pieces and closets and storage areas.
Here are the two formulas that are most commonly needed while doing home decoration for laying tiles, buying wall paper, calculating how much paint to use on wall and ceilings and other such things:
Floor Area = Length x Width (of the room)
Floor Area = Length x Width (of the room)
Wall Area = Height x Length (of the wall)
While buying large furniture pieces and other accessories, make sure that they fit in through the staircases or elevator doors and doors of your home, so that transferring them to the room doesn’t become a problem. If you are hiring carpenter, it will be better that he does his work inside the room.
While measuring the space, be sure to know the dimension of your windows, doors, closets, furniture of each room, electronic items and other appliances, telephones and electrical outlets. Knowing these dimension will prove to be helpful while window treatments or ordering for new furniture too.
You may like to get the photocopies, once you finalize the plan so that you do not have to do it all over again, once you have finished it.

Space in home and apartment décor is not just about physical dimensions. It is about the visual impression too. So, use these wonderful tips to transform your small apartment or home into a luxurious, lavish, airy and spacious home:
Arrange the largest piece of furniture on the longest wall of the room and keep the focal point easily visible from the place.
Buy small pieces of furniture that have open designs and can be rearranged easily such as a love seat with exposed legs instead of big bulky sofa sets, two small side chairs and a small glass top coffee table.
Ceiling lightings should be avoided as it cuts off the height of the room.
Ceilings lighter than the walls and furniture of the room make room look brighter.
Mark out a conversation area in the living room by placing the loveseat on the longest wall, coffee table in front of it and the side chairs facing the table on both its sides.
Place your furniture in the room in such a manner that people don’t stumble into it while coming in or going out of the room or to reach cabinets and closets.
Soft incandescent lights placed evenly throughout the room that eliminate shadows make room look larger.
Soft monochromatic color schemes make rooms look bigger.
Stick to simplistic minimalist lifestyle and keep your home clean and well organized.
Use accessories sparingly and use mirrors and shiny reflective surfaces abundantly so that it reflects more light and makes the room look bigger and more spacious.
Use smaller patterns on walls and big pieces of furniture. If you do use large patterns, stick to small accessories, pillows and small areas.

Housewives are often entangled in finding out the solution to ‘how to make an efficient household budget’. As per the domestic norms of the society, it is primarily the responsibility of the lady of the house to keep a track of the expenses and earnings taking place in the household. As a result, she is the finance officer, accountable for running the house profitably. However, as there are a number of things to be taken care of while planning the household budget, it becomes quite tedious to actually make one and stick to it. On the other hand, the absence of budget leaves you completely unaware of your financial resources. Therefore to know how to make a household budget effectively, read on.

    Making a Household Budget
The first thing to do before planning a budget is estimating your current spending patterns.
Calculate your monthly expenditure by keeping the track of every penny spent. Think hard about your expenditure, making a strong mental note of where you are spending the money.
At the end of each day, write down the list of expenditures and the items you spent it on.
Now create your own current family or personal budget. For this, consider all the expenditures you counted above.
Make a table and classify all the money you spent, into different appropriate categories.
Include all your current personal or family spending in the budget. Be honest with yourself and do not underestimate your actual expenses.
After you have tabled all the expenses, the picture is clear in front of you. You will know where you have spent more and where you can save.
For future, change and improve your budget to meet your goals. Define the goal of your budget, so that you know what you want to achieve.
In case you do not have a particular goal, try to improve on your budget by reducing your expenses, cutting down the areas of expenditure and finding out ways to increase your income.
Once you have compared your expenditure with your earning, you will know how much resources you are left with. This tells you about your profits as well as your losses.
However, the most important thing with the household budget is to follow it unconditionally and truly, otherwise the whole purpose of the exercise will be defeated.
